The Bushwacker Bass Spinner
The Bushwacker Spinner is an excellent fly for catching both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Designed as a bend back style baitfish pattern, it features an upward-riding hook and utilizes a small spinner tied on the hook shank to elicit strikes. The materials used for the body double as a weed guard since the hook is inverted, making it an ideal pattern for fishing around structures. When cast and retrieved through weedy areas, it emerges almost spotless. This fly measures roughly 3.5 inches and is tied on a sticky sharp Daiichi #2/0 wide gap worm hook.
