The Supervisor
The Supervisor is my all time favorite classic feather wing streamer created in the mid- 1920’s by Maine Warden Supervisor Joseph S. Stickney. It’s beauty simply captivates me. Several years ago I was gifted  one tied  by Don Bastian and earlier this year I was given a couple by my friend Ian Anderson from Indiana. Both flies are framed and hang prominently on the wall in my tying room.  I decided to tie the bucktail version of the streamer here. Tied on a Daiichi 2340, size 2 Limerick bend, 6xl hook.
